Use GMP's cable damper to help mitigate large amplitude, low-frequency vibrations that can cause serious cable damage.

• Inside a sealed steel cylinder is a spring-supported weight that, as the line sways, will move up and down inside the cylinder like a piston, damping the line motion.

• An adjustable bracket is included for attaching the damper directly to the supporting strand or messenger

• Installation is simple and straight forward. From your starting pole, place a single damper 1/3 of the way along the span. Where severe wind conditions are a problem, place a second damper about 3/4 of the way across the span.

• For spans longer than 150 ft.(46 m), in windy areas, add a third damper at the halfway point.
