B Lead Sleeve Slitter

This tool will make a longitudinal slit along the length of a lead sleeve to allow placement around a splice or cable sheath opening. How to use the B Lead Sleeve Slitter

It consists of a steel channel with two short lengths of sash chain with swivel snaps. A steel slitting wire is attached to one snap swivel, then threaded through the length of lead sleeve to be slit and then snapped onto the swivel a the other end of chain. By placing both feet on the channel as shown, grasp the sleeve and draw it upward against the slitting wire.
