Two-ply blanket tape makes a perfect temporary covering and moisture seal while you're splicing, repairing or jointing insulated cable, or working on temporary gas-filled splices.

The .030 inch (.76 mm) thick, light-colored, unvulcanized tacky face is permanently bonded to a layer of .020 inch. (.51 mm) thick non-tacky black vulcanized rubber.

A removable Holland cloth covers the tacky side until you're ready to use the tape.

Not only does it have exceptionally high tensile strength (25 lbs./sq. inch, 4.4 kg/cm2), 400% minimum/750% maximum elongation, and 350 volts/mil/(1380V/.01 mm) dielectric strength, the tape's excellent cohesion, weathering and plasticity characteristics make it easy to create fast, durable, air-tight and gas proof seals by hand.
