Extension Bolts and Straps

Reduce your pole space requirements and installation labor demands with GMP's Extension Bolts and Reinforcing Straps.

• These versatile, galvanized steel bolts let you place a second messenger at the same level and on the same side of a pole as an existing messenger

• Each bolt attaches to the threaded end of a suspension bolt already in the pole

• We offer bolts in two thread sizes: 5/8 in.-11 and 3/4 in.-10. Both are available in 7 in. (178 mm) overall length which yields a 4 in. (101 mm) offset extension.

• The 5/8 in.-11 size is also offered in an 11 in. (279 mm) length which gives an extension of 8 in. (203 mm). The longer bolt makes it easier to lash as the lasher works near the pole. Installation is easy.

Just remove the nut on the existing cable suspension bolt and replace it with the open end of an Extension Bolt. The new bolt then works like a normal suspension bolt, with the suspension clamp, strand and cable attached normally. You then attach one of our two (2) matching Reinforcing Straps to the pole and outside of the suspension clamp to support the outer end of the bolt and cable. This will also reinforce the cable suspension clamps during either inward or outward pulls.
