Junction Box

The GMP Cable Overblowing Junction Box has been designed to install a new cable or microducts into an existing occupied sub-duct (subject to space being available).

The Junction Box, sometimes referred to as a "Y" Box, is comprised of a heavy-duty aluminum base and lid that form a pressurized air chamber into which one end of an occupied sub-duct can be attached.

The existing cable can exit the Cable Overblowing Junction Box from either of the two branches to best suit the installation. The vacant branch is then connected to a GMP Tornado via a short slave length of sub-duct for the installation of the new cable.

A range of customer selected cable seals, cable collets and sub-duct collets is available for cable or micro tube installation using the GMP Overblowing Junction Box.
