GMP Receives Commendation from the Township of Bensalem

At a recent Township Council Meeting, General Machine Products Company, Inc. (GMP) of Trevose, PA was presented with a commendation by the Mayor of Bensalem Township, Joseph DiGirolamo, and the Bensalem Council. The award recognizes GMP's achievements in receiving the Governor's 2003 Special Regional Award of Excellence in Exporting. GMP was nominated for the Governor's Excellence in Exporting award by the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia.

"Please know that Mayor DiGirolamo values GMP's economic viability and contribution to the Bensalem community," said Dawn M. Davis, Public Relations/Event Coordinator of Bensalem Township.

Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell presented the prestigious Excellence in Exporting award to William N. Pfundt, CEO and Elliot M. Levin, Vice President, on September 29th at a ceremony held at the Governor's Mansion in Harrisburg. In accepting the award, Mr. Pfundt recalled the efforts made by GMP, including the opening of a sales office in Shanghai, China, and the opening of a vibrant market in Mexico.
