Efficiency and Innovation

Designed specifically for stringing advanced conductors using drones or helicopters, the GMP Advanced Stringing Block (ASB) is the first stringing block engineered to provide a large radius over the top of a utility crossarm while maintaining a compact, low-profile design. Its non-conductive fly arm and spring-loaded gate allow the pull line to be easily guided into position, improving installation efficiency and simplifying conductor placement. The ASB represents a significant advancement in stringing technology, helping utilities modernize and upgrade electrical circuits more effectively.

Durable, High-Quality Construction

Built from premium materials, the ASB delivers exceptional strength while remaining lightweight and non-conductive, supporting compliance with OSHA 1910.269 requirements. The block frame is precision-machined from 6061 billet aluminum, while the roller-support wings are enclosed in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for added durability and insulation. Delrin inner rollers help protect conductors from galling and damage during installation, ensuring reliable performance in the field.

Versatile and Adaptable Design

The ASB features a new pivoting base design that provides flexibility across a wide range of applications. It can be quickly attached to crossarms or poles and configured to accommodate varying pull angles and challenging installation conditions. Multiple mounting configurations enable the ASB to adapt to unique field requirements, and both Distribution and Transmission models are available to meet specific project needs.

Enhanced Safety and Cost Efficiency

The ASB's lightweight, non-conductive design helps reduce the risk of arc-flash-related injuries while minimizing worker fatigue, strain, and sprain injuries associated with equipment handling. By streamlining installation processes and improving crew productivity, the ASB delivers both safety and economic benefits. Its innovative design provides the utility industry with a safer, more efficient solution for conductor stringing operations.
