B AND D CABLE BONDS
When splicing cable, a temporary bond must be placed across the splice to provide an uninterrupted path for sheath currents at all times. These temporary bonds allow you to achieve proper continuity until a permanent bond is established.
- Each type consists of a 6 ft. (1.8 m) length of 12 AWG stranded copper conductor insulated cable
- The B Bond is equipped at both ends with a copper lug terminal brazed to a spring-loaded brass clamp and a 16 in. (406mm) bronze sash chain for securing the temporary bond across the cable on either side of a cable splice
- The D Bond is equipped at both ends with a C Cable Clip P/N 68693 with an insulation piercing cluster of sharpened pins
